![]() ![]() A team of crew members, led by chief of security Alissa Vincent, try to fight their way from the morgue to the top of the ship, but get picked off one by one. The colonists ship crashes into the Ishimura and the Necromorph escapes, eventually making its way down to the morgue and inficting all the bodies down there. Onboard the Ishimura the Unitologists want to worship the Marker, and start to otherwise go insane. One of the colonists escapes with the corpse of his dead wife and heads to the Ishimura, unaware that his wife is turning into a Necromorph. Meanwhile the colony on Aegis VII is attack by Necrmorphs. The Red Marker is brought onboard the Ishimura. It goes into detail about what happend onboard the USG Ishimura and the state it is in when Isaac and the player reach it at the beginning of Dead Space. There are some plot points that are "spoiled" if you go the chronological route, but that mostly happens if you read works set prior to the events of Dead Space (the main game) before playing it, but since you have played it already I'd say you can go either way.Dead Space: Downfall is a Direct-to-Video Prequel to Dead Space set in the Dead Space universe. ![]() Order of publication is usually the way to go for most media, as that is how the creators "meant" them to be presented to you. In my opinion, either play/read/watch it all in chronological order, or by date of publication, which I've put in parentheses after each work.
